MAISON the FAUX
Description:

MAISON the FAUX is a Fashion House for ‘HUMANWEAR’ based in the Netherlands. The house just presented their latest collection “the PREMIERE” at Los Angeles Fashion Week after showing at NYFW for three times prior.

The MAISON the FAUX fashion shows have attracted widespread attention due to their conceptual and theatrical character. The label aspires to be an affectionate reaction to the current fashion industry and a big faux wink in the direction of an audience liberated enough to move freely through an narrow-minded world. MAISON the FAUX represents a new outlook on masculinity and femininity creating HUMAN WEAR

MAISON the FAUX stands under the Creative Direction of Joris Suk and Tessa de Boer (ArtEZ 2013). They create their presentation and collections with a group of strong, young, creative individuals. It’s designers aim to set decadence as the new standard, combining their couture statement pieces with street wear. ‘The Fictional House’, a rough translation of MAISON the FAUX, is rooted in a great sense of humour and self-mockery, combined with a deep love of fashion.

In January 2014, MAISON the FAUX was officially launched at Amsterdam Fashion Week, debuting the label’s unique signature for the first time. Since the launch MAISON the FAUX released a number of collections: ‘It’s Cleaning Day!’, ‘Make a U-turn if Possible’, ‘C’est Vrai ou C’est FAUX?’, ’ANNA’, ‘ANNAANNA-ANNAANNA’, ‘CHUBBYCHASER’, ‘FAUX Cosmetics’, ‘FAUXmosapien’ and ‘the PREMIERE’.MAISON the FAUX has been worn by celebrities like Lady Gaga, SZA, Janelle Monae and Ariana Grande and has been published in press outlets like Vogue, NYtimes, Dazed and Confused, i-D, Paper, Latimes and many more... MAISON the FAUX is available for purchase in various concept stores around the globe as well as in their own online Boutique
