Slovak talent Maroš Baran, winner of the 2014 RED CUT award by Aukro, at MBPFW 2014, is currently studying at the Studio of Fashion and Footwear Design at the School of Applied Arts (UMPRUM). However he stumbled upon fashion while studying graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. Behind him he has an internship at the Belgian Avant-Garde brand A.F.Vandevorst, as well as his own conceptual collections called ‘The Great Red Dragon’ and ‘XIII CARD’, which were introduced at the form of fashion performance.
"My new line does not yet have a name, but it will be themed around ice. It connects with my previous project XIII CARD; both are formal and conceptual, "says the Slovak designer. "One source of my inspiration stems from my week in Japan, where I had the opportunity to experience many great new things, thanks to Liben Rochová, who is the head of the studio and my school - UMPRUM. Next I will gradually unveil my work via social networks."
