Pavol Dendis is a Slovak designer, living and working in Bratislava. His signature style is characterized by austere colour, minimalism, and avant-garde with strong tailoring craft. In his collections, he uses men's tailoring as a basis for both men's and women's models. His inspiration comes from various perceptions of nature - fauna and flora, the world of music and film, fine art, history, and traditional culture. His aesthetics and mood often teeter on the edge of bleakness and fear. He is a graduate of the Atelier of Clothing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. In addition to creating his collections, he is involved in costume design in collaboration with the Slovak National Theatre and various Slovak and foreign filmmakers and musicians.
